What is Hoot Mode on Peck?
Hoot Mode lets you use the app anonymously, allowing you to chat and send invitations without revealing your identity. It’s all about connecting with others while keeping things under wraps!

How do I connect with someone in Hoot Mode?
To connect in Hoot Mode, click the owl icon on the bottom dashboard, send an invite by selecting the owl icon on the profile, and once the other user accepts, you’ll have a Hoot match! You can also check notifications to see if anyone has sent you a Hoot invitation - just accept it to make the connection!

How do I reveal my identity in Hoot Mode?
To reveal your identity, click the chat icon on the bottom dashboard and navigate to the Hoot chat. Open any Hoot chat, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the chat window, and select "Reveal Identity."

What is a Hoot Line, and how do I create one?
A Hoot Line is like your bio—it’s displayed on your Hoot Profile. To create or edit one, click your profile icon in the top left, select "My Profile", hit the "Edit Profile" button, and update your Hoot Line in the profile details.

Can I send a Hoot request only to Hoot users?
Nope! You can send Hoot requests to both Hoot users and normal users. Just go to the dashboard, click the owl icon, send your invite, and choose whether to use a Hoot message or write your own!

What is mutual reveal?
Mutual reveal is a request to unveil both user's identities at the same time. To propose a mutual reveal, go to a Hoot chat, click the three-dot menu in the top right, and select "Propose Mutual Request." (Note: This option appears only if both users have not revealed their identities yet.)

What is the difference between a normal match and a Hoot match?
In a normal match, users can see each other’s real identities, profile images, names, and details. In a Hoot match, however, the chat is anonymous, displaying Hoot avatar images and Hoot IDs instead of real names.

What is the difference between Hoot Mode and Normal Mode?
Normal Mode allows users to see each other’s real identities and profile details, while Hoot Mode enables anonymous chatting, showing Hoot avatars and IDs instead of actual names and images.

How do I send a Hoot message, and what happens when I send one?
To send a Hoot message, click the owl icon on the bottom dashboard and invite someone by clicking the owl icon on their profile. Once they accept your invitation, it becomes a Hoot match. The other user will receive your request and can choose to accept or decline.

Can I customize my Hoot image?
Customization of your Hoot image isn’t possible, but you can choose a Hoot avatar from our categories. To change your Hoot image, click your profile icon in the top left, select "My Profile," hit "Edit Profile," scroll down, click "Edit" on Hoot Image, select your category and image, and save!
