What is Hoot Mode?

Hoot Mode is Peck’s anonymous mode. Chat first, reveal later, your call. 🦉

How it works

• People see your Hoot avatar, Hoot ID and Hoot Line (your Hoot bio), not your name or photos.
• You can send a Hoot invite to anyone, whether they use Hoot Mode or not.
• Once they accept, you’ve got a Hoot match.

How to send a Hoot invite

1. Tap the owl icon in the bottom bar.
2. Find someone you like and tap the owl icon on their profile.
3. Pick a ready-made Hoot message or write your own, then send.

Ready to reveal? Open your Hoot chat → tap the three dots → Reveal Identity. Revealing is one-way: they see who you are, and they can reveal themselves whenever they’re ready.

Is it free? You get a limited number of Hoots for free. Peck Pass makes them unlimited.
