Something feel off? Trust your gut. Reporting takes a few taps, and it's always confidential.
In danger right now? Call your local emergency number first.
How to report someone
- Go to your Matches or chat and open their profile.
- Tap the three dots (⋮) at the top right.
- Tap Report.
- Choose the reason that fits best.
- Add screenshots if you have them. It's optional, but they help our team act faster.
- Tap Submit.
What should I report?
If it doesn't feel right, report it. For example:
- Fake profiles, catfishing or someone pretending to be someone else
- Scams, spam, or anyone asking you for money
- Someone who seems to be under 18
Is it confidential?
Yes. The person you report won't know it was you.
What happens after I report?
Our team reviews every report, including any screenshots you added. If someone broke our Community Guidelines, we take action. To protect everyone's privacy, we can't share the outcome with you, but every report is taken seriously.
Want them gone right now?
You don't have to wait for us. You can also:
- Unmatch: open their profile › three dots › Disconnect › Yes
- Block: open their profile › three dots › Block › Yes. They disappear from your Chats, Matches, Hoot, Discover, Notifications and Dashboard.
Reporting and blocking work best together. Block to cut contact, and report so our team can step in.
