Ghosted mid-chat?

The convo was flowing, then… silence. 💬 It happens to everyone, and it’s not a glitch.

Are they still there? If the chat is still in your Matches, you’re still matched. They’ve just gone quiet. A pink double tick means they’ve read your message; one white tick means it’s sent but not read yet.

Why people go quiet: a busy week, dating burnout, not feeling it, or just bad at texting. Usually it’s not about you.

What you can do:

• Send one easy follow-up, like “Still up for that coffee?” Then leave the ball in their court.
• Skip the essay. One nudge is enough.
• Make a plan. Some people respond better to a plan than to small talk, so try an IRL invite for a coffee, a drink or a movie.
• Know when to let go. No reply after a nudge? Disconnect and move on. Your energy’s better spent on people who match it.
