Dating should feel fun, not like a group project with a deadline. 🫶
- Set your own speed. Some people want a date by Friday, some want weeks of chatting. Both are valid. If someone’s moving too fast, say so: “I’m really vibing with you, I just like to take things slow.” Anyone worth your time will get it.
- Try Hoot Mode for more breathing room: chat anonymously and reveal who you are only when you’re ready.
- Get out of your head. Drop the pressure to be perfect and just be curious about the other person. Connection beats performance.
- Talk before you meet. Got Peck Pass? Hop on a voice or video call first, no number needed.
- Pick a date that suits you. Want an easy exit? A coffee is short and sweet. Worried about awkward silences? A movie gives you something to talk about after. Already clicking? A drink keeps it relaxed.
Always meet somewhere public, and tell a friend where you’re going. More in our Safety Center.
